A PEDESTRIAN who was hit by a van in Redhill this morning is in hospital with serious injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision in Sandpit Road at around 6.20am, which involved a white Citroen Berlingo van and man in his 30s.
South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene and the pedestrian was taken to St Georges Hospital in Tooting for treatment to multiple serious injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was not injured in the collision.
Road closures were put in place in the immediate area while emergency crews attended and an investigation carried out. Road closures were lifted around 10.45am.
