IT'S OFFICIAL – East Horsley is one of the best villages to live in the country.
It's private sports club, good schools and being within easy reach of riding and golf courses all add up to make the village one of the most desirable places.
Although it's nothing we didn't already know, or appreciate, it's now been confirmed by The Times' 30 Best Villages in Britain list which was published today.
The list relied on experts' views and the latest price data as well as looking at schools, transport and everything that forges a good neighbourhood.
With London Waterloo being an hour away, it is not hard to see why bankers, solicitors and international buyers have snapped up properties in the village in search of the English good life.
Other desirable locations in Surrey to make the list are Chiddingfold, Shamley Green, and Claygate.
