Heath Secretary Jeremy Hunt has committed to touring the wards at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill later this year.
He was invited to visit the hospital by Reigate MP Crispin Blunt.
The Earlswood complex has come under fire in recent years over the quality of service to its patients. But Mr Blunt believes £50 million of investment since 2010, and the leadership of Michael Wilson, brought in as chief executive in 2010, have led to significant improvement.
Mr Blunt said: "I am pleased that the Secretary of State has agreed to visit East Surrey Hospital, and that he also acknowledges the forward strides that the hospital has made.
"I firmly believe these improvements should be positively reinforced so it is right that the staff have the opportunity show the Secretary of State for Health how well they are doing."
