A CHARITY which supports children living on the street in Brazil will receive vital funds after a fashion show was held earlier this month.
It is hoped the show will raise around £6,000 for Leatherhead charity Happy Child International, which rescues children and teenagers from the streets of Belo Horizonte in south east Brazil and Recife in the north east of the country.
The catwalk was dominated by the latest trends courtesy of Courtyard designer boutique in Guildford which supplied all the outfits.
Sarah de Carvalho, founder of Happy Child International, said: "These next two months Happy Child International is opening two new projects in the city of Recife – one for girls aged between 12 and 18 living on the street and one to help young men aged 18 to 21 escape a life of crime.
"I am so grateful to all those that helped us organise this very successful occasion and all those who came along to support Happy Child on the day.
"The funds raised will go towards supporting these new projects and our existing home in Recife for boys aged up to 18.
"They will create better lives for some of the most disadvantaged children and young people in Brazil."
The show took place at the Royal Automobile Club in Epsom on March 11, attracting 120 guests.
