PART of the M25 in Surrey is shut this morning after a serious accident involving a lorry and a car.
A diversion is currently in place which is taking drivers off and on the carriageway via the slip roads at Junction 6 (Godstone).
The traffic is currently backed up for eight miles and travel time past the crash is more than two hours and 15 minutes.
There are also long queues anticlockwise at the Dartford River Crossing toll booths. Congestion is back to J1b.
An earlier accident which had been blocking one lane of the M25 at Reigate junction 8 has been cleared onto the hard shoulder.
