The doors open at 7.15pm and the show will end at 10pm. Entrance is £5.00 for adults, £2.00 forchildren over 11, whilstchildren under 11 are admitted for free. Please bring your own refreshments and glasses.
Weather
The weather has of course still been the main topic of village talk, as the week until Saturday April 6th has seen such bitter winds and snow flurries. The worst day was Thursday April 4th, when the snow fell most of the day, it lay in gardens and the fields, but thankfully not on the roads for long . It has been the wind causing the most problems to all trying to get around. However, Saturday April 6th showed clear improvement as the sun came out and the wind weakened. All hope that it has now turned for the better and farmers and gardeners can get busy again.
Apology
Last week the wrong surname appeared in the Surrey Mirror, under the news about the Easter cooking for the Wisdom. The young girl to be thanked for helping Lizzie Searle was Hannah Root and not HannahMilbourn. Many apologies Hannah, for that confusion.
Wisdom News
A reminder that the Dust Busters will be at work in the Wisdom on Sunday April 14th, after the 9.30am service. Hopefully there will be plenty of willing hands to make light work of the Spring clean for the Church.
St Andrews will also be doing their spring cleaning on Saturday April 13th they are also appealing for help. The cleaning will start at 10am, they will also provide refreshments.
Appeals for bottles for the Church stall at the Village Fete on Bank Holiday May 6th. Ron Searle will be most grateful for these donations.
A reminder too was given out about the Parish AGM for Sunday April 21st. This will take place after a Joint Parish service at the Wisdom of God at 9.30am. The Wisdom choir will be singing at the service too. The AGM will be held in the Church Hall straight after the service.
Village Newsletter
The latest edition of the Village Newsletter is now being delivered around the village. This newsletter has plenty of information about groups and events taking place in Lower Kingswood. It is also noted that the AGM of the Village Trust and the LK Residents association will be held this year on Tuesday 21st May. This will be held in the Church Hall. Times will be appearing later.
Nature
There really has not been much activity in the village with birds or animals. It was therefore pleasing while at the top of Mogador near The Sportsman, to spot a Buzzard gliding and hovering across the heath. It really looked like a small plane against the clouds and blue sky.
