A SINGER who grew up in Bookham will perform in front of thousands of football fans at Wembley Stadium later this month.
Natalie Coyle, 25, will sing the national anthem at the iconic football stadium for the Championship play-off final, the Football League has announced.
Her performance on May 27 could be in front of as many as 80,000 people with fans from either Hull, Watford, Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Leicester City or Nottingham Forest - all teams still in with a shout of being promoted to the Premier League.
It will also be the second time she has performed at Wembley after she sang the national anthem in front of 50,000 people ahead of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.
She told the Advertiser: "I am so honoured and excited that the Football League has asked me to sing the national anthem at the the Championship play off final.
"To sing at Wembley Stadium, where so many of the world's biggest muscians have performed, was one of my earliest dreams and it was an incredible moment for me, last month, when this came true.
"I can't wait for May 27th and the opportunity to return to that iconic venue."
The former St Therea's School pupil is also gearing up to perform at Epsom Playhouse on May 30.
Miss Coyle, who has sung with the likes of Susan Boyle and Katherine Jenkins, is currently touring the country with Classic BRIT Award winners Blake.
The 25-year-old is hoping to record her debut album by the end of the year and take the classical charts by storm.
Tickets are still available to see Miss Coyle and Blake at the Epsom Playhouse on Thursday, May 30. Call the box office on 01372 742555.
