East Surrey Dial a ride were given a grant as part of the surviving winter fund. They were able to transport elderly people from their homes to the Douglas Brunton Centre during the recent prolonged cold spell last March. At the Douglas Brunton Centre they were given a meal and were able to take part in the afternoon entertainments. Roger Atkins, manager of Dial A Ride said 'this was an ideal opportunity to be able to get more people to use dial a ride and to make them aware of the facilities available at the Douglas Brunton Centre
