A SET of siblings with a combined age of 465 years has met to celebrate yet another set of birthdays in Dorking.
Four of the five surviving members of the six Relleen siblings marked the 93rd birthday of John Relleen at the home of his sister Joyce Aldred.
Mrs Aldred, herself 95, hosted the party for her brother Roy Relleen – who turns 90 later this month – and sister Joan Cherns, who also celebrates a birthday – her 99th – this month.
However, their younger brother Bob, a mere 88, was unable to attend due to ill health.
Their father George Relleen moved to the town from London as a young man, and settled at Oak Bank in Hampstead Road after marrying Dorking resident Lizzie Emily Eveleigh.
Joyce, Joan and Roy still live in Dorking, brother John lives with his wife Sheila in Southampton and Bob lives in Crawley, after living abroad for many years.
Karen Van Klaveren and her mother, Joyce, provided lunch and several cousins came along to join in the celebrations.
