This Sunday, May 12, kick off 3pm, Merstham Football Club are staging a very special Charity Football Match, in aid of "The Walking Matilda Fund", at their Moatside, Weldon Way ground. The encounter, billed as "The Rematch", takes place between England and Italy, perhaps more commonly known as ' JP's English Gents', and 'John's Italian Stallions'.
Admission to the event, to which everyone is cordially invited, is free, although the organisers would be grateful if patrons could make a donation of £5 towards this very worthwhile charity. Anyone, over 35 years of age, interested in playing in the fixture, should contact JP on 07988 674661.
