SIR Alex Ferguson has received a tongue-in-cheek job offer from Horley Town FC after stepping down as Manchester United boss.
The 71-year-old announced his retirement as United manager yesterday after 26 years in charge.
Within hours Horley Town FC - whose first team play in the Combined Counties Premier Division - has stepped in to offer Sir Alex a new post with their reserves.
The message, posted on the @HorleyTownFC, said: "Well done #siralex [Ferguson] - fantastic 26 years - have a long and happy retirement - our reserves mngrs(sic) slot still vacant if u get bored."
