A Reigate-based Surrey police officer accused of stealing more than £150 of groceries from a Crawley Tesco store has appeared in court.
Roger Toms, 41, and wife Sharon Toms, 48, appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court this morning (Thursday) accused of jointly stealing items from the supermarket in Hazelwick Avenue, Three Bridges on April 16.
Both pleaded not guilty to theft from a shop and elected for trial at a crown court.
They were released on unconditional bail ahead of a committal hearing at Crawley Magistrates' Court on July 12.
