CHILDREN from St Martins School in Epsom spent a day bulb planting at Rosebery Park, an event organised by Epsom & Ewell Borough Council.
The green-fingered Eco Warriors Club members planted hundreds of daffodil bulbs on Wednesday, November 7, which will join crocuses and hyacinths, and ensure the park will be colourful this spring.
The Friends of Rosebery Park requested that the children planted the bulbs in an area of the park which lacked spring colour.
The park itself has wide areas of open grass, mature trees, beds full of interesting flowers and a large pond.
It was purchased by the late Lord Rosebery (a former Prime Minister) and given to Epsom & Ewell Borough Council on November 26 1913.
