Police were called in on Saturday morning to search for two 12-year-old girls who had not been seen since the previous evening.
The children, from Redhill and Crawley, were reported missing after they did not come home on Friday night.
The Crawley girl had not been seen since 4pm, before she met a friend in Horley.
A message was put out on Twitter asking for anyone with any information to contact police but the pair was found later on Saturday.
