YOUTH FOOTBALL: Almost 300 parents, grandparents and children turned out on Saturday to enjoy the fun and games at Holmbury & Westcott Wolves' big birthday party.
Having just finished the Wolves junior football club's tenth year of FA affiliation, it was a great reason to celebrate with a big party at Holmbury Hall.
Holmbury is where the original Holmbury Wolves started with one small age group, but the club has now grown into Holmbury & Westcott Wolves with more than 160 players and age groups next year running from U5 to U14.
All the children had great fun on the huge bouncy slide and inflatable fun run; there was younger children's football fun next to the hall, while up on the main pitch the coaches and parents, and then the older children, played a set of fun matches. The club also held its annual end of season awards ceremony, with special guests from the local primary schools presenting awards to the different age groups.
