A MAN has been arrested after two crashes on the outskirts of Leatherhead on Wednesday.
A white Citroen van collided with a car on Kingston Road at 3pm but failed to stop and went on to crash with a grey BMW a short time later.
A police helicopter was sent to the scene and police officers pursued the van before the driver left his vehicle and continued on foot.
Officers then were unable to locate the driver but yesterday (Thursday) a man was arrested on suspicion of theft and failing to stop at the crash scene.
