A MAN has pleaded guilty to an attack on a dad as he walked home from Guilfest with his wife and young son.
James Alexander Wallington, 32, of Great Goodwin Drive, Bushy Hill, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Peter Hart on August 31.
He appeared at Guildford Crown Court on Wednesday, November 14, when he admitted the charge.
Mr Hart, 40, suffered serious head injuries after being attacked in front of his wife and 16-month-old boy in King's Road at 6.30pm on July 13.
He was in a critical condition in hospital and has since been released but police said he faces a long recovery.
Wallington was remanded in custody and is due to return to Guildford Crown Court on December 14 for sentencing.
