Appeal for information following robbery

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a robbery in Epsom last week. The incident occurred at around 11.20am on Tuesday, 23 July while the victim, a man in his 20s, was walking along a pathway off Reigate Road near Nescott College. The victim was headbutted suffering injuries to his nose and face which require hospital treatment after being assaulted by two men. Investigating officer Detective Constable Steph Worrell, said: "This was a frightening ordeal for the victim which will no doubt stay with him for some time and we will do all we can to find those responsible to bring the offenders to justice. "Since the offence occurred we have been carrying out a number of enquiries including working with the Metropolitan Police Service in a bid to identify the offenders. "I would appeal to anyone who has their suspicions around someone they know or who has any other information on this incident to contact officers as a matter of urgency." A blue diamond stud earring, around £60 in cash, a pair of white Rhino shorts and a gold bracelet were taken during the robbery. Both offenders are described as a white men, aged around 19 or 20-years-old, around 6ft tall, of average build. One had short brown spiky hair and was wearing a plain white t-shirt and blue jeans. The other was wearing a red Adidas t-shirt and blue jeans.
