NEXT year's Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 event will take place on Sunday 10 August 2014.
The exact routes and timings for the 2014 event will be confirmed later this year after the post-event evaluation of this weekend's event but it is hoped the world's top cyclists as well as 20,000 charity cyclists will again come to Box Hill and Leith Hill.
The online ballot for places in next year's Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 will open at 00:01 on Monday August 12. It will close on January 6, 2014 or when 80,000 registrations have been received – whichever is earlier.
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson, who took part in this year's event, said: "I am delighted we've now been able to confirm the date for year two and certain that it is set to become a much-loved event every summer in the capital."
Surrey County Council leader David Hodge added: "This year's event through Surrey was a truly spectacular celebration of pedal power and I'm sure it will inspire many more people to set the wheels in motion to be on the start line next August for cycling's version of the London Marathon."
