TWO people were hurt in two separate incidents in the early hours of Saturday as someone shot at them with a paintball gun from a passing car.
Police have appealed for witnesses following separate attacks in Reigate and Redhill.
In the first, a woman was walking down Church Street, Reigate, with a group of friends between 12.20 and 12.30am when she was hit on the forearm by a paintball fired from the open window of a passing black Vauxhall Corsa.
A few minutes later, between 12.30am and 12.45am, a man was hit three times by paintballs fired from a passing car, which had two people inside, at the junction of Mill Street and Garlands Road in Redhill.
Neighbourhood sergeant Dan Gutierrez said: "Both victims escaped with bruises but it could have been much worse.
And if someone sees someone effectively pointing a gun at them out of a window it is going to cause significant alarm."
Anyone with information should contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference RB/13/6295 in relation to the Reigate incident and RB/13/6305 in relation to the Redhill incident.
