Police have released a picture of a dog lead found during the search for David Pickett, a week after he vanished. Officers also released a fresh photo of the 34-year-old. The dog lead was found close to Greathed Manor Nursing Home in Ford Manor Road, Dormansland, where Mr Pickett lived, worked and was last seen. The alarm was raised when he failed to turn up for work last Monday morning, and his treasured dog was found running loose. A large-scale search was immediately begun. It continued over the weekend as local residents joined a number of units including the police helicopter, dog units and specialist search teams to assist in the hunt. Police revealed a dog lead was found about 300 metres from Greathed Manor. Officers are currently trying to establish whether it belonged to David. Anyone who believes they have seen David or recognises the dog lead is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference P13229119.
