Two men arrested following Kingswood burglary

Police have arrested two men following a burglary in Kingswood last night (Thur). Officers were called to a property in St Monica's Road at about 9.30pm following reports that the men, wearing balaclavas, forced their way into a flat at the address and stole two watches and an iPad. A man in his 20s and another in his 30s were arrested a short time later and remain in police custody. It is understood a third man may also have been involved. It is also understood that the occupants, a man in his 20s and another in his 30s, were present at the time but were not hurt. Investigating officer, detective constable Gemma Green, from East Surrey CID said: "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the incident to contact us as a matter of urgency. "Although two people have been arrested in connection with the burglary we are still in the early stages of the investigation and we need to quickly gather as much information as possible on the incident to help us establish the full circumstances surrounding it."
