Ryman League Division One South could have a strong east Surrey presence next season after a meeting recommended South Park and Whyteleafe be promoted to the division and previously-relegated Redhill be handed a reprieve.
The Ryman League met yesterday to discuss promotions and relegations, with their recommendations set to be confirmed by a wider league committee on May 15.
However, as it stands a Ryman League spokesperson confirmed to the Surrey Mirror that Redhill are due to be saved from the dreaded drop back to step 5.
"The meeting indicated that Redhill would be reprieved but nothing is a certainty yet," the spokesperson explained. "As it stood yesterday, Redhill would be a Ryman team but we can't say for sure until May 15."
