POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a jewellers in Epsom.
Surrey Police were called to The Ashley Centre, a shopping centre in Epsom, at around 11pm yesterday, where it is believed thieves smashed a window at an Ernest Jones store using a sledge hammer and left the scene with a number of high value watches.
Officers are currently examining CCTV to try and establish exactly what was taken during the break-in.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Laura Chambers, said: "Have you recently seen or heard anything suspicious in the area of the Ashley Centre which may connect to this incident? If you have, please come forward and share this information with officers.
"I would also appeal to anyone who has been offered a Tag Heuer watch for sale at a vastly reduced price as we believe a number of them were stolen in the raid and this information may help us find those responsible."
If you can help with the investigation please contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference P14138190. The independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
