FIREFIGHTERS were called to a large van and bin fire at First4vans in Horley at 3.45am this morning.
A crew member from Horley fire station said the blaze was believed to have started in a pair of large bins containing carpet waste behind the Smallfield Road business in private garage space.
It then spread to a nearby van in the garage space before moving into the First4vans area and setting light to a transit van.
The crew member addded: "It did not make it to any of the buildings so we managed to stop it."
One of the vehicles was destroyed by the blaze and the other was severely damaged during the incident, which also required an engine from Reigate FIre Station.
A firefighter from Horley Fire Station added that the incident was being treated as suspicious and an investigation was ongoing.
Surrey Police also attended.
