WHEN seven-year-old Chloe Burwell lost her toy rabbit while shopping in Reigate, she thought it was lost forever.
But after the Mirror featured her heartfelt letter asking Bunny to return home last week, staff at Simply Sports, in Reigate, contacted us to say they had found her.
On Saturday morning, Chloe and her mum Denise, of Redhill, visited the High Street shop to be reunited with the toy.
Mrs Burwell said: "They were all very nice in Simply Sports. . They were delighted that she got it back. Chloe was over the moon. It was a happy ending to a strange story."
Mrs Burwell and Chloe, who lost Bunny on April 15, scoured local shops but were unable to find her.
Half an hour after the pair looked for the toy in Simply Sports, a staff member noticed the rabbit on a display and set about trying to return it, putting appeals on Facebook and Twitter, but to no avail.
Fortunately staff saw our newspaper appeal last week resulting in a hoppy ending.
