A SWARM of bees has descended on Redhill and made its home on a rooftop tree.
The hoard of buzzing visitors appeared on the rooftop terrace, behind Station Road, on Wednesday.
Over the last two days dozens of the creatures have made their home on the roof.
Handyman Joe Farthing was busy restoring the kitchen of a flat above Ryman's, the stationer's, in Station Road, Redhill, when the patio filled with bees.
"It was an amazing sight. They were everywhere," said the former Dorking resident.
"They had formed a colony on a buddleia bush in the courtyard and there were bees coming and going all the time.
"I contacted the Bee Association and they were planning to come along on Thursday but said it may be that the bees would have all flown off by then.
"I got quite close to them and apparently as long as you don't disturb them, they are fine. If you do disturb them it's a different story."VIDEO: Bee swarm in Redhill town centre
