A REPLACEMENT skate park will be built in Hurst Green thanks to funding from a new development.
The new £50,000 installation in Mill Lane will replace the former skate park, which was dismantled last year after extensive vandalism.
A concrete construction has been selected as it is more sustainable and will reduce maintenance and repair costs.
Work starts on June 9 and is expected to take a month.
Having taken into account the views and comments of local residents, the site will remain in its original location.
The facility has been paid for through funding from a 172-home development on the nearby former Fairview Industrial Estate.
Paul Barton, Tandridge District Council's Chief Community Services Officer, said: "The new design should please the users of the skate park while minimising the need for repairs."
