AN ELDERLY man who shot himself at a GP surgery in Frimley yesterday (Monday) has been named locally as Brian Poingdestre.
The 86-year-old entered the Station Road surgery yesterday morning at just before 11am.
Police were called to the scene after reports a firearm had been discharged.
Mr Poingdestre was pronounced dead at the scene. A file has been passed to the coroner.
Surrey Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a post mortem will be held later this week.
