Police release name of man killed by train at Horley station

POlICE have confirmed that the man killed at Horley railway station just under two weeks ago was David McCallum from Redhill. British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to a line at Horley railway station at 5.05pm on May 28 but the 28-year-old man, who has not been named, was declared dead at the scene. A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "I can confirm that the person struck and killed by a train at Horley railway station, Surrey, on Wednesday, 28 May, has been formally identified as David McCallum (28), from Redhill. "The man's family have been informed and a coroner's inquest into the death was opened and adjourned on Thursday, 5 June." The incident is being treated as non-suspicious. Surrey Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended.
