POlICE have confirmed that the man killed at Horley railway station just under two weeks ago was David McCallum from Redhill.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to a line at Horley railway station at 5.05pm on May 28 but the 28-year-old man, who has not been named, was declared dead at the scene.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "I can confirm that the person struck and killed by a train at Horley railway station, Surrey, on Wednesday, 28 May, has been formally identified as David McCallum (28), from Redhill.
"The man's family have been informed and a coroner's inquest into the death was opened and adjourned on Thursday, 5 June."
The incident is being treated as non-suspicious.
Surrey Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended.
