ANOTHER week, another comfortable win for Chipstead, Coulsdon & Walcountians as they continue to set the early-season form in the Surrey Championship Division Two.

Chipstead captain Nick Woods won the toss and put Worcester Park in to bat.

Openers Scott Payton (20) and Rob Bell (43) put on a decent partnership but the Chipstead bowlers ensured the Worcester runs were kept to a minimum.

Danny Palmer put on a good lower-order stand, finishing on 29 not out, but Salil Oberoi was once again ruthless with the ball taking 4-30, including one caught and bowled, as the visitors finished all out for 147.

Prospects looked good for Chipstead but they must have felt less confident when opener Ben Sandhu was run out for a duck before skipper Woods followed soon after for just two.

However, Oberoi steadied the ship with 43 and Grove Venter hit a match-winning 82 not out, as Chipstead notched 148-3 to win by seven wickets.

This Saturday Chipstead travel to Ashtead.
