DRIVERS are being warned of long delays during the rush hour this evening (Thursday).
The M25 Junction 8 for Reigate was closed earlier after two separate incidents.
Traffic was held back to allow an air ambulance to land after a person suffered a "medical emergency".
A collision between a lorry and a car, causing a fuel spill, has also added to the congestion.
The carriageway between J8 and 9 has now partially reopened but the Highways Agency has warned of long delays and queues of around six and a half miles.
Traffic joining the M25 from the M23 for Gatwick has also been delayed.
