FRESH from a fantastic double race win at Oulton Park a fortnight ago, Charlie Robertson's sights are fixed on regaining the points lead in the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup when the fifth race meeting of the season takes place at Croft in North Yorkshire this weekend.

Heading to the track near Darlington just four points shy of the top of the standings, the Whyteleafe 17-year-old is relishing the prospect of racing at Croft for the first time since his title winning season in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2012.

With six podiums to his credit so far in his maiden GT4 SuperCup campaign Robertson has adapted to his 3.7-litre, 355bhp Ginetta G55 and has consistently been one of the quickest drivers in the series.

This weekend's event sees the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup return to its regular triple-header format at his team HHC's home track and Robertson is determined to be in the fight for more wins.

"Croft should be good, I'm looking forward to racing there again and it's obviously an important weekend for HHC with it being the team's home circuit," he said. "We've been quick at every track we've visited so far this year, so there's no reason we shouldn't be fast there. More wins would be nice but the aim is to try and retake the championship lead, we know we've got the car and the pace to achieve that."
