ATHLETICS: Caterham School U13 girls and boys athletics teams were both crowned champions at the Surrey District Athletics Finals on June 24.
Both the boys and girls teams won the 4x100m relay final and two athletes won their individual events to become District Champion: Mary Neale-Smith in the high jump, and Henry Hanrott in the 100m.
Director of sport, Rob Clarke, said: "This was a very strong competitive event with 11 other schools all fielding some very good athletes, so our teams have done really well to become champions. It was a great team effort by both the boys and girls.
"The relays were particularly exhilarating as both teams had to hold off fierce challenges from strong rivals."
