CATERHAM Valley's post office may be moved 400 yards under proposals currently out for consultation.
Under the plan, the current office in Station Avenue would transfer to the Co-op store, in Croydon Road, some time in August.
The move would result in longer opening hours.
Post Office regional network manager Will Russell said: "It would mean a modern open-plan branch in newly refurbished premises, with longer hours and the same products and services, with the addition of National Lottery facilities."
