THE popular Woodhatch Centre is 20 years old.
More than 100 members attended the annual meeting of the Woodhatch Community Association, at the centre in Whitebeam Drive, on Friday.
Dr Michael Ormerod, who chairs the association, told the meeting: "Our flourishing centre continues to be a popular venue for many groups and societies.
"We take more than 1,500 lettings a year and frequently have to turn people away because we are fully booked."
The centre offers a wide range of activities to residents, including outings and holidays.
He thanked the "large army" of volunteers for helping to make it successful.
To date, the centre has been run by the association in partnership with Reigate and Banstead Borough Council. That arrangement is ending, as the council has decided to contract out the management of the centre.
