Firefighters were called to Redhill railway station today to deal with a small fire.
Sarah Evans, spokeswoman for Southern who run the station, said: "There was a small fire in a non-public area of Redhill station earlier. The fire was extinguished by station staff and the Fire Brigade attended as a precaution. Services were unaffected by this incident."
A Surrey Fire and Rescue crew member told the Mirror the fire was on platform three.
