BRILLIANT bike stunts, cycling challenges and saddle safety tips were enjoyed by huge crowds at Reigate Cycle Festival on Sunday.

Priory Park was packed with pedal-pushers hoping to find out more about cycling, meet fellow enthusiasts or just enjoy a fun day out with the family.

The event, organised by TravelSmart Surrey, a Surrey County Council initiative encouraging people to cut carbon, calories and the cost of transport, hosted stalls from cycling groups as well as a bouncy castle and face-painting.

Savage Skills performed a BMX stunt show with bikes somersaulting above stunned spectators.

On the Rollapaluza stall, riders were challenged to battle against the clock to be the fastest to cover a set distance on fixed rollers, and the "skills area" gave visitors the chance to practise their tricks or gain confidence handling their bikes.

Prizes were also up for grabs in the Fastest Flat Change puncture challenge.
