A GREEN-FINGERED team of Godstone gas workers have taken a day off work to tidy a family park.
Thirty employees from the Godstone depot of Southern Gas Networks (SGN) joined forces to tidy up Churchfields Recreation Ground in Chessington.
The team tided up the park entrances, painted the children's swings and lay a new 400m pathway.
Two of SGN's contractors, Aglish Construction and Essex Utilities, also joined the team on the day, providing the specialist skills and equipment needed to repair potholes and level out the car park.
The team offered their help as part of SGN's Community Action Programme, in which all employees are given a day off work every year to help make a difference in the community.
