A DOCTOR from Banstead has appeared in court accused of secretly filming patients.

Lam Hoe Yeoh, a hearing consultant, appeared at Croydon Crown Court on Tuesday (August 19) charged with 30 counts of voyeurism, two counts of making indecent images of a child and two counts of possessing extreme pornography.

29 of the voyeurism charges concern named victims, while the remaining count covers 70 unidentified victims.

Yeoh, 61, was initially charged in April with one count of voyeurism at St Anthony's Hospital, in Cheam. An investigation by the Metropolitan Police led to further charges.

The case was adjourned until September 16 and Yeoh was remanded on bail.

A statement issued on August 7 from Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, where Yeoh worked as a consultant, said he was suspended at the beginning of the police investigation.

The trust added his employment was being 'serious considered'.

Sutton detectives have set up a dedicated email for anyone who believes they have been affected by this investigation. The mailbox is: OperationSnowland@met.police.uk
