The launch event for the Epsom and Ewell Business Partnership has been hailed as a success.

The event, which took place at Epsom Racecourse, looked to encourage local businesses to expand and work together.

About 70 people from over sixty different businesses attended the event and were treated to an informal evening of business-to-business 'speed dating'.

Steve Parker attended the forum and represented Rowcolour, a prestige printing company based in Epsom.

Mr Parker said "the event was easily the best networking event I have attended. I have made some excellent contacts, supplied quotations already and will be placing an order on Tuesday with a company I met there...I can't ask for more than that...fantastic to see so many like-minded local businesses at a very well organised event"

Brian Stone from DSI (UK) said, "this was an excellent opportunity for my Ewell based security system business; within minutes of arriving I had a strong customer lead… and the evening carried on in the same vein, I'm already looking forward to the next forum!"

The next forum will take place 19th February and Councillor Neil Dallen hopes that the new business partnership will make a difference to Epsom and Ewell's business community.

"Feedback from the launch event is overwhelmingly positive. It is my belief that the Partnership, which is supported by the Council, will make a positive difference to the economic vitality of the Borough."
