THE people behind Reigate's winter wonderland have hailed its first three weeks a success.
The frosty and festive ice rink under the big top in Priory Park has already welcomed hundreds of skaters since it opened on December 4.
As well as real ice, revellers are also treated to Christmas music and festive food and drink. This year, organisers have also set up a bar, with a counter made of ice.
Nicola Matthews, director of the Matthews Organisation, the company behind the rink, said: "It's already more successful than last year."
After Mayor of Regiate and Banstead David Pay officially opened the attraction, children from Reigate Priory Junior School had first go.
Mrs Matthews said: "The opening was absolutely lovely, we had a letter from the mayor thanking us for our hospitality and our donation to his charity. The last two weekends have been great with live entertainment making it a lovely atmosphere in the big top. Everything's going well. The feedback from the public has been fantastic." She added the big top has a "better location" than last year,.
The attraction is open until January 4.
