AN INVESTIGATION is under way after the body of a young man was found in a car in Dorking town centre early this morning (Tuesday, January 6).
Police officers acting on a "concern for safety" report made the discovery in an area off Mill Lane at around 2.50am.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: "Following a concern for safety report, officers carried out a search in an area off Mill Lane.
"Further enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death are continuing and at this stage it would be inappropriate to comment further on the cause of death.
"Police believe this to be an isolated incident and do not believe there to be any risk to the community."
