SURREY is in for some rough weather this week, forecaster Ian Currie has warned.
Up to now, most of the gales and wintry weather have battered mainly Scotland but now it is the turn of the south to have rain and gales.
Mr Currie said today: "A lot of weather is likely this week with some very stormy conditions late on Wednesday and on Thursday. You might see sleet tomorrow and late in the week, plus quite a wet spell later today."
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for the south-east, including Surrey for later this week.
From 3pm on Wednesday, January 14th for 24hours, there is a warning of high winds.
The Met Office has also warned of possible snow and ice in Hampshire, West Bertkshire and Oxfordshire on Tuesday but has not included Greater London and Surrey in the list of places that could be affected by the wintry conditions on Tuesday.
