A HAIR-RAZING experience for a Redhill youngster was all in a good cause.
Hannah King, 14, a pupil at Reigate School, had her head shaved for charity and has so far raised more than £600.
She is helping to send her friend and Tearfund volunteer Jess Puzey, also from Redhill, to Poipet in Cambodia.
Jess will be working with the Cambodian Hope Organisation, teaching in a Christian Safe Haven school.
As well as providing education, it gives accommodation and protection to Poipet's most vulnerable children, most of whom have been rescued from human trafficking. Without education their prospects are grim.
Hannah said: "I think Jess is very brave to go to a strange country and help children and youngsters in this way.
"Shaving my head is nothing compared to her sacrifice."
Hannah's head-shave was carried out for free at Silvano's hairdressers in Station Road, Redhill.
