Attempted bank robbery at Barclays in Shepperton

CCTV images have been released after an attempted robbery at a Shepperton bank.
At around 4.10pm on Friday (December 21), a man walked into the branch of Barclays Bank in High Street. 
He put a note under the counter claiming that he was armed with a gun, although no weapon was seen, and demanded money.
Staff activated an alarm and the man fled the building empty handed.
Detective Constable John Hobbs, from Staines CID,said: "I am appealing for members of the public to look closely at these images and to contact us immediately if they recognise the man pictured. I would like to reassure the local community that we are doing everything we can to solve this crime.
"Although no one was injured, this was still a frightening experience for the bank staff and I would urge anyone who can help us trace the person responsible to come forward."
