THE building of a long-awaited primary school in Merstham will begin this month.
Construction company Galliford Try is scheduled to start work at the Battlebridge Lane site on February 23.
And if all goes to plan, Lime Tree Primary School, which has taken up temporary residence in Alexander Road, Reigate, will be welcoming reception and nursery pupils to the newly built early years block in September.
Meanwhile, the two-storey block for the older pupils is due to be complete by December 2015.
The school is planning to move all of its resources across to the new site over the Christmas period before January 5, 2016.
