MOST residents of a new affordable homes site in Redhill have moved in.
Raven Housing Trust opened the doors to its Laton Place development in November, and this month handed over one of the final sets of keys to first-time buyer Nathan Jones.
Mr Jones, who grew up in Redhill,.
The site of the former Alton house in Carlton Road was redeveloped to provide 12 apartments for shared ownership, which was made possible thanks to grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency.
Mr Jones was handed the keys by Reigate and Banstead borough councillor Julian Ellacott and Raven chief executive Jonathan Higgs.
Mr Jones said: "I was living with my parents, and so now being able to move out to my own place is great.
"It is especially good as it's really easy for commuting to work in Croydon."
Cllr Ellacott added: "This is a high-quality development.", not just reusing this site but improving it. It is excellent to see Raven investing in additional local housing."
Mr Higgs added: "We're delighted that it has been so popular."
