TEMPORARY traffic lights are causing delays for Reigate Hill and the M25.
The lights were set up yesterday by Southern Gas Networks on one side of Reigate Hill (A217) near Beech Road.
Motorists have reported delays along the busy route, which connects Reigate and Redhill to the M25.
Pamela Wootton said: "I stood on the bridge over the M25 and traffic was at a standstill as far as the eye could see. It took two hours to come down Reigate Hill."
According to Surrey County Council's roadworks website, the work is expected to be finished on Friday.
