Talented Surrey Student Finds the Golden Ticket at DLD College Winter Concert

Surrey student, Meggy Vaice, took to the stage to dazzle the audience of DLD College London's adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Morden resident, Meggy (16), played the part of Veruca Salt, a demanding character who found one of the five golden tickets within the Roald Dahl classic.  Being a member of the college's Drama Club, Meggy gave an incredible performance alongside the rest of the cast including Charlie Bucket, Augustus Gloop and Willy Wonka.
The year 12 student is currently studying Pure Mathematic and Statistics, Art, Graphics, Chemistry and Psychology. 
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory performance was part of the DLD College London Winter Concert which was held at the iconic St Marylebone Parish Church. The production gave students the chance to take the spotlight and entertain the audience made up of students, alumni, family and teachers.
The afternoon's proceedings were hosted by Michael Brett who welcomed guests to enjoy the student's theatrics. From musical performances to classical Shakespeare readings, the DLD College Winter Concert saw students shine.

Rachel Borland, DLD College London Principal commented: "The Drama Club is an integral part of the college and the members are all such fantastic actors. The scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a joy to watch and each member of the cast portrayed the renowned characters brilliantly.
"I would like to thank the Drama Club for their hard work in putting the scene together; it was certainly a highlight at this year's DLD College Winter Concert."
Founded in 1931, DLD College London is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in the UK, and since its foundation has built a strong reputation amongst students, parents, schools and universities. DLD is an independent sixth form college situated on two campuses in the heart of London; Marylebone Campus and Belgravia Campus.
There are 445 students at the college across two campuses, some of whom are preparing for A Levels, some studying for their GCSEs, and some studying for International Foundation Programmes.
